Size Matters

Forget less is more this season because size matters in spring 2012. Be bold and beautiful with this season’s hottest jewelry trend, a pair of knockout statement earrings. The bigger is definitely the better when it comes to these bright baubles, mod plastics, feathery shoulder-dusters, and jumbo chandeliers. Ear candy stole the shows at spring 2012 fashion week from Dolce & Gabbana, to Marni, Missoni, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Jean Paul Gaultier, Emili Pucci and many more.

You can wear this trend right off the runway to any formal event or even to just add some fabulous to a more casual, everyday outfit. Surely all ears were listening at fashion week since statement earrings has even been spotted as an über cool street style trend for spring. Here are some photos of the look on the runway, backstage, and spotted on the street.

Pretty In Pink

In past seasons, designer have replaced the “little black dress” with the “little white dress.”  However, honeysuckle pink was all over this past season’s runways. Honeysuckle is a reddish-pink, as Pantone puts it “a brave new color, for a brave new world.” Pink is the new black and next season calls for this new bright hue. So behold the LBD’s replacement, the ”little pink dress.” Forget the colour pink’s relation to fuss and frills, this fashion staple is pretty and youthful.  The LPD is anticipated to dominate fashion week’s runways and the spring 2012 season. Say ta ta to last spring’s turquoise and hello to honeysuckle.
